Do you serve the whole North Shore?
Terrebonne, Mascouche, Repentigny, Charlemagne, Blainville, Sainte-Thérèse, Rosemère, Lorraine, Boisbriand, Saint-Eustache, Deux-Montagnes and Mirabel: from the western end of Highway 640 to where it meets the 40. Every city has its own page, with what our drivers know about the local ground. Delivery happens the same day when dumpsters are available, ideally booked 24 to 48 hours ahead, Monday to Friday.
Do I need a permit for a dumpster on the North Shore?
In your driveway or your yard, for the duration of the work: none of these cities requires one. On public property — the street, the sidewalk, the strip of grass in front of your house — the answer changes from one city to the next, which is exactly why each city page spells it out. Terrebonne names the dumpster outright in its temporary-occupancy by-law; Repentigny tolerates 48 hours before a certificate becomes mandatory; Charlemagne has required a permit on its right-of-way since June 10, 2026; Blainville has adopted no by-law at all, so we promise nothing on its roadway. Wouldn't my city's ecocentre be enough?
For a car trunk or a trailer of branches, it is exactly the right address. For a job site, the count runs out fast: the free yearly quota goes from 5 m³ in Blainville to 12 m³ in Repentigny, and Rosemère publishes none — when a single 10 yard dumpster holds 7.6 m³. Terrebonne and Mascouche have no municipal ecocentre: Mascouche sends its residents to the chemin des Quarante-Arpents waste depot, and Terrebonne shares that same depot with the partner ecocentres in Bois-des-Filion and Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines; Boisbriand uses the one in Sainte-Thérèse; contractors are turned away almost everywhere. Add unloading by hand and, in winter, reduced hours.
Where do I put the dumpster in winter?
In the driveway, almost always — except the driveway is already taken. The temporary car shelter is allowed a good half of the year in nearly every North Shore city — October 15 to April 15 in Blainville, Sainte-Thérèse and Deux-Montagnes, October 1 to April 30 in Terrebonne and Charlemagne, November 1 to May 1 in Rosemère — and it goes up exactly where the box would sit; Lorraine is the exception, its zoning by-law bans it. The street is no fallback: overnight parking closes from November 15 to April 15 in Terrebonne and Boisbriand, December 1 to March 31 in Mirabel, and Rosemère bans street parking year-round. Each city page carries its own dates. The 10 yard, lower for the same footprint, often saves the day. And if materials freeze at the bottom, scraping with an excavator may be required: we say so beforehand, never after.
Do you work with contractors on the north crown?
Every day. A contractor rental includes 15 days instead of 7, swaps are planned ahead with the dispatcher, the 40 cubic yard follows the sites that keep moving, and the single-material dumpsters — concrete, bricks and mortar, soil-rocks-sod, asphalt — sort at the source with a far more generous tonnage. In industrial parks, municipal collection often stops at the gate: Terrebonne writes it into its by-law. A job-site schedule is better discussed than typed into a form — call the dispatcher.
