Megabac Environnement — dumpster rental

Privacy Policy

Megabac Environnement collects the strict minimum: the contact details you give us — through the quote form or over the phone — to prepare and follow up on your quote and your delivery. Nothing else: no newsletter, no profiling, no selling of personal information to third parties. This policy, drawn up under Quebec's Law 25, says who is responsible for your information, what we do with it, how long we keep it and how to exercise your rights. Should the English and French versions ever differ, the French version prevails, as required by the Charter of the French language.

The person in charge of protecting personal information

At Megabac, the protection of personal information is the responsibility of a person designated by title: the president of Megabac inc. He oversees the application of this policy and answers the access, rectification and withdrawal requests described below.

To reach him, write to info@megabac.com with "Renseignements personnels" as the subject line — that is how your request gets straight to the right person.

What we collect, and why

The website collects personal information in one place only: the quote form. There you give your name, your email, your phone number, your city and the type of your project. That information serves one purpose: preparing your quote, calling you back with the price and the recommended size, then following up on the delivery and pick-up of the dumpster.

When you call us, we note the same information, for the same purposes.

That is all. No newsletter, no profiling, no targeted advertising — and your information is never sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

Your consent

By sending us the form, you consent to one precise thing: being contacted back about the quote you are asking for — by phone or by email, using the contact details you provided. Nothing more.

This consent signs you up for nothing: no promotional emails, no follow-ups unrelated to your request. You can withdraw it at any time — the steps are in the "Your rights" section below.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as it takes to process your request and, if you become a client, for the duration of the business relationship — for invoicing and the follow-up of your rentals.

Once those purposes are fulfilled, your information is destroyed or anonymized, as the law requires.

Your rights, and how to exercise them

Law 25 gives you rights over your information, and they are simple to exercise:

To exercise any of these rights, write to the person in charge at info@megabac.com, subject "Renseignements personnels". We answer within the 30 days set by law.

In case of a confidentiality incident

A confidentiality incident — unauthorized access to, use or communication of personal information, or its loss — triggers a precise procedure on our side, in keeping with the applicable provisions of the law:

Cookies

The website uses no tracking cookies to this day: no advertising trackers, no browsing data shared with third parties.

The details — what a cookie is, what the site uses and what would be announced if a tool were ever added — are published in the Cookie Policy.
