Which size for a whole house

A house is measured in pickup loads. The 20 yard dumpster — about the size of a Dodge Caravan — holds 6 to 8 pickup loads; the 40 yard, 12 to 16. For the contents of a long-lived-in house, the 40 is usually the one that leaves — or a rotation: a first box, you fill it, it leaves, another replaces it. You never pay for a size picked at random: we go through what needs to go, with you, over the phone.

How long can we keep the dumpster?

Which size to empty a whole house?

What about furniture that is still good?

Donate it: neighbourhood organizations often pick up at home, and furniture that serves again beats furniture thrown away. The dumpster is for what remains — damaged, mismatched, accumulated.

Can paint and household chemicals go in the dumpster?

No — tires and everything chemical (oils, paints, solvents, aerosols, propane tanks) are refused in every size. These go to a specialized drop-off point. Everything else in a house goes into the mixed dumpster without issue.
