Megabac Environnement — dumpster rental

10, 20 and 40 Cubic Yard Dumpster Rental Cost

The price of a Megabac dumpster comes down to five things: the size (10, 20 or 40 cubic yards), the type of materials, how long you keep it, the weight — and your area, because hauling distance matters. Delivery, pickup, a number of days and a tonnage allowance are always included — and so are the PROTEC-O-SOL planks. A two-minute call to 514 708-2424 gets you the exact, firm price for your project, no commitment.

The five things that set your price

No mystery: at Megabac the price is always built the same way. When you call, we walk through these five points with you — that is why two minutes is enough.

1. The size

10, 20 or 40 cubic yards. The rule of thumb that keeps you from paying for too much: a 10 yard equals a 20 yard filled halfway — same footprint, just lower. A 20 yard is roughly the size of a Dodge Caravan. On the phone we help you pick the right size on the first try: that is the first saving.

2. The type of materials

Mixed dry materials — wood, drywall, plastic, metal, shingles — or a dumpster reserved for a single material: soil-rock-sod, concrete, brick and mortar, asphalt. For heavy materials, the single-material dumpster includes a far more generous tonnage allowance: it is almost always the right call, and we tell you upfront.

3. The duration

Every rental includes 7 days — 15 for contractors. Then a rule that works in your favour: as soon as you authorize pickup by phone, the clock stops — even if our truck comes a few days later, those days are not billed to you. Contractor with volume? Duration is negotiable: loyalty has its perks, let's talk.

4. The weight

A tonnage allowance comes with every dumpster. Beyond it, the excess is billed pro-rated on the weigh ticket — never rounded up to the full ton. The maximum transportable weight is a road-safety matter: for concrete, soil or asphalt, that is exactly what the single-material dumpster is built around.

5. Your area

Prices are indicative until we know your address: the region and geographic zone influence hauling cost, and therefore the price. That is exactly why the exact figure is given over the phone — with your address, it becomes firm in two minutes, and it does not move.

Always included, no extra charge

Deliveries run Monday to Friday, generally between 6:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., with no guaranteed time slot — we would rather tell you that than promise what no carrier can keep.

What can be added — always announced upfront

No hidden fees: the complete list of possible extras fits right here, and each one is explained before it ever applies.

The extraWhen it applies
Extra daysIf you keep the dumpster beyond the included period. The clock stops as soon as you authorize pickup.
Weight overagePro-rated on the weigh ticket, beyond the included tonnage. A heavier-duty truck may be required.
ScrapingIf frozen or stuck materials require an excavator to empty the dumpster — mostly in winter.
Wasted tripIf the truck comes out and the dumpster is inaccessible or has to be moved.
Prohibited materialsOil, paint, solvents, propane tanks, tires, chemicals, batteries: sorting fees apply if they end up in the box.

The house rule: the price agreed on the phone is the price on the invoice. The only possible additions are the ones in this table — and you know them before you book.

Why we give the price over the phone

Because no two projects are the same. The right price depends on your material, your driveway, your schedule — and a number posted without context almost always makes people pay for too much or pick too small. In two minutes on the phone, a human being at Megabac gives you the exact, firm price for your project, confirms the size, and flags what your city requires — permit, parking, placement.

It is a company choice: we would rather have a human call than a cold price grid. It is also what our clients point out in their reviews — the fast answers, the polite crew, the service that follows through. And if you work fast, the $50 Libération Express credit rewards a dumpster freed up within 48 hours of delivery, during the March-to-October high season.

Your pricing questions

How much does it cost to rent a dumpster?

The price depends on the size (10, 20 or 40 cubic yards), the type of materials (mixed dry materials, or a single material: soil, concrete, brick and mortar, asphalt), the duration, the weight and your area — hauling distance matters. Delivery, pickup, a number of days and a tonnage allowance are always included. A two-minute call to 514 708-2424 gets you the exact, firm price for your project — free, no commitment.

Why are prices not posted on the website?

A service choice, not secrecy. A number posted without context almost always leads to the wrong size or the wrong type of dumpster. We prefer two minutes with a human who gives you the exact price for YOUR project, firm, with the right size confirmed and your city's particular rules flagged. The complete list of what is included, and of the only possible extras, is published on this page.

What is included in the price?

Delivery, pickup, the rental days — 7 for homeowners, 15 for contractors — a tonnage allowance and the PROTEC-O-SOL planks that protect your driveway. There are no hidden fuel surcharges and no file-opening fees: the price agreed on the phone is the price on the invoice.

What fees can be added?

Five cases, all announced upfront: days beyond the included period (the clock stops as soon as you authorize pickup), overage beyond the included tonnage (pro-rated on the weigh ticket), scraping if frozen materials require an excavator, a wasted truck trip, and prohibited materials — oil, paint, solvents, propane tanks, tires, chemicals, batteries.

Does the price change from city to city?

It can, yes. The region and geographic zone influence hauling cost, and therefore the price — it is one of the five things we go through with you. That is why prices stay indicative until we know your address, and why the exact price is given over the phone: with your address, it is firm in two minutes. What never changes is what is included — delivery, pickup, days, tonnage, planks. And every city we serve has its own page with its verified local rules: permit, parking, placement.

How can I pay less?

Three levers. Pick the right size on the first try — a 10 yard equals a 20 yard filled halfway, and we help you decide on the phone. Take the single-material dumpster for concrete, soil, brick or asphalt: its included tonnage is far more generous. And free up the dumpster within 48 hours of delivery: the $50 Libération Express credit applies during the high season, March to October.

Is the price given on the phone firm?

Yes. Size, material and duration agreed: the price is firm. The only possible additions are the ones published on this page — extra days, weight overage on the weigh ticket, scraping, a wasted trip, prohibited materials — and each is explained before you book, never discovered on the invoice.

How is payment made?

By Visa or Mastercard credit card — those are the only two cards we accept. Payment is taken before the dumpster is delivered: we take your details when you book, and you get your receipt. Extras — weight overage, extra days — are billed after pickup, on the same card.
