Megabac Environnement — dumpster rental
Megabac dumpster being delivered in a Greater Montreal residential driveway

Residential dumpster rental

For a renovation, a roof, a big cleanout or a landscaping job, Megabac drops a 10, 20 or 40 cubic yard dumpster in your driveway — protected by PROTEC-O-SOL planks. Every rental includes 7 days, delivery, pick-up and a tonnage allowance based on the size. One call to 514 708-2424 confirms the right size, the exact price and the delivery date — same-day delivery is possible.

The projects we see every week

A kitchen being redone, a basement being finished, a roof shedding its shingles, a garage that has been full for ten years, a hedge and sod to haul away: that is the daily life of our trucks. The dumpster arrives in your driveway, you fill it at your own pace — 7 days are included — then one call, and we take it away.

The price? It is settled in two minutes on the phone, and the Pricing page shows upfront everything that is included and the only possible extras. If you work fast, the Libération Express promo credits $50 when the dumpster is freed up within 48 hours of delivery, during the March-to-October high season.

To pick the right size, the dumpster size guide compares the three formats in detail — and every city we serve has its own page, with what our drivers know about the local ground.

What is included — and what to know

No surprises on the invoice: the two lists that matter fit right here.

Included with every dumpster

  • 7 rental days — the clock stops as soon as you authorize pick-up
  • Delivery (generally between 6:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.) and pick-up
  • PROTEC-O-SOL planks under the box: your asphalt and pavers are protected
  • A tonnage allowance by size: 1 tonne (10 yards), 2 tonnes (20 yards), 4 tonnes (40 yards)
  • The dispatcher's advice: size, placement, your city's rules

To know before you fill

  • Prohibited materials: oil, paint, solvents, propane tanks, tires, chemicals, batteries
  • Fill to the rim, never above the walls
  • Pick-up is authorized by phone; the crew comes within about 1 to 5 days
  • In winter, frozen materials stuck at the bottom may require scraping with an excavator
  • No permit needed on your own property; on the street, the municipal permit is your responsibility

Which size for which project

Three sizes, one simple rule: the right one is the one that leaves full. Hesitating between two sizes? One call settles it in a minute.

The sizeMade for
10 cubic yards · 14 × 8 × 3 ft · 1 tonne includedBathroom, garage or shed cleanout, small landscaping job. Same footprint as the 20 yard, just lower: easy to load over the wall.
20 cubic yards · 14 × 8 × 5 ft · 2 tonnes includedThe size homeowners ask for most: kitchen, basement, bungalow roof, full house cleanout. Roughly the size of a Dodge Caravan.
40 cubic yards · 20 × 8 × 7 ft · 4 tonnes includedInterior demolition, estate cleanout, major renovation: the big volume for projects that empty a house.
Concrete, soil, brick or asphalt · 20 cubic yards · 14 × 8 × 5 ftA dumpster reserved for a single material, with a far more generous included tonnage. Filled to three quarters at most (45 inches from the floor) — a matter of weight on the road.

All dimensions are in feet (length × width × height). The dumpster size guide details every format, with photos and volume references.

Questions homeowners ask

Will the dumpster damage my driveway?

It is the number one worry, and it is exactly why every delivery includes PROTEC-O-SOL planks: the box never touches your asphalt or pavers directly, the weight spreads across the planks. Tell us on the phone what your driveway is made of — the driver arrives prepared.

How much room do I need?

The 10 and 20 yard take up 14 feet by 8 — the footprint of a large car — and the 40 yard, 20 feet by 8. The truck also needs to back up in a straight line and lift the box: allow clearance in length and height (power lines, branches). We validate the spot with you on the phone, before confirming.

Can you deliver the same day?

Often, yes — depending on availability in your area. Deliveries generally happen between 6:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., with no guaranteed time. Call early at 514 708-2424: weekdays from 6 a.m., weekends from 8 a.m.

What is prohibited in the dumpster?

Oil, paint, solvents, propane tanks, tires, chemicals and batteries: these materials require a special disposal stream, and sorting fees apply if they end up in the box. Not sure about a material? Name it during the call — the answer is immediate.

What happens if I go over the included tonnage?

The excess is billed pro-rated on the weigh ticket — never rounded up to the full ton. And for heavy materials like concrete, soil, brick or asphalt, the single-material dumpster includes a far more generous tonnage: we suggest it upfront if your project fits.

How does pick-up work?

You authorize it by phone, and from that moment the day counter stops — even if the truck comes a few days later, those days are not billed to you. Pick-up happens within about 1 to 5 days; tell us if a fast pick-up is needed.
