In Granby, Megabac Environnement brings you the mixed dry materials dumpster in 10, 20 or 40 cubic yards, plus the four single-material formats: soil-rocks-sod, concrete, bricks and mortar, asphalt. It is the way out for whatever the ecocentre on rue André-Liné turns away — soil and reinforced concrete in particular. Free quote and booking at 514 708-2424.

Dumpster rental — or bin rental, as many Montrealers call it — for the big cleanout, an estate, a renovation or a demolition: dry materials, soil, concrete, bricks, asphalt and more.
14' long × 8' wide × 2.5' high · 3 to 4 pickup-truck loads
A 20-yard filled halfway: same footprint, just lower — choosing it won't free up space in a short driveway.

Libération Express
Every rental includes 7 days — 15 for contractors. But if you work fast, our quick-release promotion rewards you:
More than 48 hours after delivery, the promotion no longer applies — your 7-day rental simply continues, without the credit.
Freeing up dumpsters sooner is also what lets us deliver faster everywhere in Granby — everyone wins.
Offer valid during the high season (March to October).
A full dumpster is heavy, and drop-off and pickup are when asphalt gets marked. Every Megabac dumpster arrives clean, safe and fitted with the exclusive PROTEC-O-SOL system: built-in planks that spread the load and protect your asphalt, concrete or paved driveway. Nothing to supply, nothing extra to pay.
Even with the planks, the dumpster is still a steel box. Before the truck arrives, lay down four flattened cardboard boxes — or a thin sheet of plywood — where the dumpster will sit: the steel never touches your asphalt or your pavers directly. Two minutes of prep, zero worries.
The price depends on the size, the type of materials, how long you keep it — and your area. The form above or a two-minute call is all it takes to get your exact price, fast. What makes up the price, in plain words → And if you free up the dumpster within 48 hours of delivery, the Libération Express credit applies — details below.
Size is not the whole story: dumpsters are rented by material type. Each type goes to a different disposal facility — that is why mixed loads bring extra fees. One choice to make, five options:

10, 20 and 40 cubic yards
The do-it-all dumpster: wood, drywall, metal, shingles, furniture — mixed, no problem.

20 yard — the only size offered
Excavation, grading, sod removal — soil, rocks and sod, nothing else.

20 yard — the only size offered
Walkways, slabs, foundations — broken concrete, nothing else.

20 yard — the only size offered
Walls, chimneys, masonry facing — bricks and mortar, nothing else.

20 yard — the only size offered
Old torn-up paving, curb pieces — asphalt, nothing else.
Why it matters. A dumpster rented for concrete that shows up at the disposal facility with wood in it is refused at the concrete rate: the sorting gets billed back. If you have several types of materials, say so in the form or at 514 708-2424 — we point you to the right type, or to two dumpsters when that costs less than sorting fees.
Tires
Paint, solvents, oils
Propane, aerosols, acidsNo, not if the dumpster stays entirely in your driveway: neither by-law 0666-2017 on permits and certificates, nor zoning by-law 0663-2016, nor the city's “With or without a permit” list calls for one. Yes, the moment it touches the street, the sidewalk or the right-of-way: section 320.0.1 of General By-law 0047-2007 requires the written permission of a municipal officer. No fee is published for that permission — if in doubt, the city answers at 450 776-8282.
For a few car-trunk loads, yes. Beyond that, no: only vehicles with six wheels or fewer get in, dumping from trailers and dump trucks is prohibited, you unload it yourself — and soil, turf, stumps and reinforced concrete are not accepted there. You also need an address in the MRC de La Haute-Yamaska, backed by photo ID and proof of residence.
Yes, with a written authorization issued in your name by COGEMRHY — a requirement that takes effect in September 2026 (procuration@cogemrhy.ca, 450 378-9976, ext. 2270). Industrial, commercial and institutional users are also capped at 20 cu. yd., and materials from their own business activity are refused. For a full job site, a dumpster delivered and picked up stays simpler.
Not in a private driveway. On the street, yes: from November 1 to April 30, every snow-removal operation bans parking from 1 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. — it is announced the day before, and 450 776-8366 confirms it. A dumpster occupying public property without written permission can then be removed at the owner's expense. From November to April, we aim for the private driveway.
About 8 feet wide by 14 feet long for a 10 or a 20-yard, 20 feet long for a 40, plus the clearance the truck needs. The rule of thumb: a 20-yard is about the size of a Dodge Caravan — a driveway that swallows the van will swallow the dumpster. Watch out for a common reflex: a 10-yard frees up no ground space, it is a 20-yard filled halfway, simply less tall. On the narrower lots of the recent semi-detached homes, that nuance counts.
No. The soil-rocks-sod dumpster takes only soil, rocks and sod; concrete, bricks and mortar, and asphalt each have their own. Only the mixed dry materials dumpster accepts a mix — wood, drywall, metal, shingles, furniture. Any mixing in a single-material dumpster brings sorting fees. And in every format the refusal list never changes: tires, along with paint, solvents, oils, propane, aerosols and acids, stay out.
Until 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and until 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, for anything that makes noise. Section 178 of General By-law 0047-2007 prohibits work likely to make noise — sawing, carpentry, construction — from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on weekdays and from 5 p.m. to 9 a.m. on weekends. A weekend job site gets planned accordingly.

“Really well served by Jonathan, the owner. Dumpster arrived the same day. The guy who dropped it off was friendly and smiling. Well-maintained dumpster, not all rusted like the ones you usually see. I recommend them.”— Laurent Morin, Google review, Boucherville listing (translated from French)
“Excellent service! Efficient, reliable, thoughtful communication — I warmly recommend them and will definitely call on Mégabac again for future projects! If I could give 6 ⭐, I would. Thank you!”— Sophie St-Jean Ledoux, Google review, Boucherville listing (translated from French)
We deliver to every neighbourhood in Granby — and we know the area.
Granby counted 69,025 residents and 31,850 occupied dwellings at the 2021 census, 6.4% more than in 2016; the MRC now credits it with 72,078 residents. Between 2005 and 2015, 4,747 dwellings went up — 475 a year — and over that same stretch the detached single-family home fell from 66.3% to 31.3% of the permits issued, while the semi-detached climbed to 44.4%. Hence two typical driveways. That of the post-war bungalow, wide, where every size gets in. And that of the recent semi-detached, narrow, where you need to know that a 10-yard fits no better than a 20: same footprint on the ground, simply less tall. South of Lac Boivin, close to 1,400 dwellings have been added over the past 20 years, with room for 2,000 more.
Statistics Canada (2016 and 2021 census profiles), MRC de La Haute-Yamaska and the Granby urban plan (by-law 0662-2016), verified August 14, 2026.
Granby's industrial park covers 627 hectares and brings together more than 160 businesses; the urban plan confirms its extension west of Route 139, along rue Arthur-Danis. A park that size mostly produces heavy, already-sorted debris — concrete, bricks and mortar, asphalt, metal — precisely what our single-material dumpsters and our scheduled 40-yard rotations are built for. The Zoo de Granby and its roughly 600,000 visitors a year, downtown with its rue Principale storefronts, boulevard Leclerc and the Robinson Sud, Saint-Charles Sud and Denison Est streets — “more inclined to host neighbourhood businesses,” says the urban plan — round out the picture. One useful detail downtown: between 4 and 400, rue Principale, nothing has been picked up at the curb since September 2, 2024; the carts go to one of the 21 assigned drop-off points. For a business in the middle of renovations, a private dumpster settles the question.

A Granby quirk: overnight street parking stays allowed in winter. It only becomes prohibited once a snow-removal operation is triggered — then nobody parks between 1 a.m. and 6:30 a.m., from November 1 to April 30. The operation is announced the day before on granby.ca, through the citizen alerts and at 450 776-8366.
That by-law targets road vehicles, not dumpsters: nobody bans a dumpster from the street in winter. But the practical consequence lands all the same. An object left on public property without written permission can be removed at the expense of the offender or of the owner, and a snow-removal operation is exactly the moment the city notices. So from November to April, we plan for the private driveway.
City of Granby, by-laws 1171-2022 (amended by 1184-2022) and 0047-2007, section 320.0.1, verified August 14, 2026.
| The rule | What it means for a job site |
|---|---|
| Six wheels or fewer | No trailer, no dump truck; you unload it yourself |
| Soil and reinforced concrete | Refused, as are turf, stumps and asbestos |
| An address in the MRC | Photo ID and proof of residence; a non-resident is turned away |
| 20 cu. yd. for ICI users | Except materials from their own business activity |
| Written authorization | The contractor who empties your place needs one, as of September 2026 (COGEMRHY) |
| 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. | Monday to Saturday from March 30 to November 28, 2026, Wednesday to Saturday in winter — arrive 30 minutes before closing |
And the collections do not make up the difference: garbage every four weeks since 2026, a single cart per dwelling, nothing picked up outside the cart, bulky items three times a year by registration only (May, July, October) — and construction, renovation and demolition debris is refused at both collections.
