In Belœil, one call to Megabac Environnement at 514 708-2424 puts a dumpster in your driveway. Mixed dry materials in 10, 20 or 40 cubic yards, or a single-material dumpster — soil, concrete, bricks and mortar, asphalt — from Vieux-Belœil to Les Bourgs de la Capitale, always set down on PROTEC-O-SOL planks so your driveway comes through untouched.

Dumpster rental — or bin rental, as many Montrealers call it — for the big cleanout, an estate, a renovation or a demolition: dry materials, soil, concrete, bricks, asphalt and more.
14' long × 8' wide × 2.5' high · 3 to 4 pickup-truck loads
A 20-yard filled halfway: same footprint, just lower — choosing it won't free up space in a short driveway.

Libération Express
Every rental includes 7 days — 15 for contractors. But if you work fast, our quick-release promotion rewards you:
More than 48 hours after delivery, the promotion no longer applies — your 7-day rental simply continues, without the credit.
Freeing up dumpsters sooner is also what lets us deliver faster everywhere in Belœil — everyone wins.
Offer valid during the high season (March to October).
A full dumpster is heavy, and drop-off and pickup are when asphalt gets marked. Every Megabac dumpster arrives clean, safe and fitted with the exclusive PROTEC-O-SOL system: built-in planks that spread the load and protect your asphalt, concrete or paved driveway. Nothing to supply, nothing extra to pay.
Even with the planks, the dumpster is still a steel box. Before the truck arrives, lay down four flattened cardboard boxes — or a thin sheet of plywood — where the dumpster will sit: the steel never touches your asphalt or your pavers directly. Two minutes of prep, zero worries.
The price depends on the size, the type of materials, how long you keep it — and your area. The form above or a two-minute call is all it takes to get your exact price, fast. What makes up the price, in plain words → And if you free up the dumpster within 48 hours of delivery, the Libération Express credit applies — details below.
Size is not the whole story: dumpsters are rented by material type. Each type goes to a different disposal facility — that is why mixed loads bring extra fees. One choice to make, five options:

10, 20 and 40 cubic yards
The do-it-all dumpster: wood, drywall, metal, shingles, furniture — mixed, no problem.

20 yard — the only size offered
Excavation, grading, sod removal — soil, rocks and sod, nothing else.

20 yard — the only size offered
Walkways, slabs, foundations — broken concrete, nothing else.

20 yard — the only size offered
Walls, chimneys, masonry facing — bricks and mortar, nothing else.

20 yard — the only size offered
Old torn-up paving, curb pieces — asphalt, nothing else.
Why it matters. A dumpster rented for concrete that shows up at the disposal facility with wood in it is refused at the concrete rate: the sorting gets billed back. If you have several types of materials, say so in the form or at 514 708-2424 — we point you to the right type, or to two dumpsters when that costs less than sorting fees.

Propane, aerosols, acidsNot for a private driveway: our check of Belœil's by-laws — permits and certificates 1670-00-2011, zoning 1667-00-2011 — turns up no requirement for a temporary dumpster, as long as it rests entirely on private property, right-of-way excluded. The street is another story: it takes a road-occupancy permission. If your address leaves any doubt, the urban planning department settles it: 450 467-2835, ext. 2894.
$50, plus applicable fees where they apply: that is the price of the road-occupancy permission set by fee by-law 1692-00-2014 for storing anything on the public way. Skipping it costs more — a $250 penalty, plus general fines of $100 to $1,000 for an individual. The exact procedure is confirmed with public works, at 450 467-2835, ext. 2874.
Yes — twice over. Construction by-law 1669-00-2011 (s. 64) obliges anyone building or demolishing to have a dumpster for the debris, and permits by-law 1670-00-2011 (s. 22) requires, for every construction permit — additions included —, a dumpster of at least 8 cubic metres for the duration of the work. Now 8 m³ works out to roughly 10.5 cubic yards, by our calculation from the by-law: the 20-yard closes the question without debate.
No, it is closed: the city sends its residents to the MRC de La Vallée-du-Richelieu's regional ecocentre, at 60 rue Fisher in Mont-Saint-Hilaire, entrance via chemin Benoît. Access is limited to residents of the ten participating municipalities, on photo proof of residence, and contractors along with commercially sourced materials are turned away.
Rarely in practice: the free quota is 12 m³ per year for construction debris, then $2.50 per 0.1 m³ (plus taxes), and only cars and pickups — pulling a non-dumping trailer, combined length under 7.5 m — make it past the gate. Emptying the equivalent of a single 10-yard dumpster therefore means several round trips to Mont-Saint-Hilaire, and in winter only Friday through Sunday. We ran that math from the figures the MRC publishes.
The private driveway, no detours: from December through March the street has to stay plowable across its full width, the general by-law forbids leaving anything on public property that hinders snow removal, and neither snow nor objects may sit within 1.5 metres of a fire hydrant. Factor in the temporary car shelter too, allowed from October 15 to April 15: it often claims the very spot the dumpster had its eye on.
By freeing up the dumpster within 48 hours of delivery: the $50 Libération Express credit then goes back on your credit card — deducted from any extras, or refunded in full if there are none. Offer valid during the high season (March to October). Past the 48 hours, nothing is lost: your 7-day rental simply carries on.
And elsewhere? We checked the permit rule in every city we serve, by-law in hand — because it is never the same from one city to the next.

We deliver to every neighbourhood in Belœil — and we know the area.
The 2021 census sketches a city of homeowners: 24,104 residents (+7.3% since 2016), 10,140 occupied dwellings of which 59% are single-family homes — and a grand total of 5 dwellings in buildings five storeys or taller. The 2026 decree already puts the population at 25,318. For a delivery, the city wears two faces. In Vieux-Belœil, an old, tight street grid squeezed between the Richelieu River, rue Dupré and parc Eulalie-Durocher, the 10-yard dumpster earns its keep: it covers the same ground as a 20 while standing lower. In Les Bourgs de la Capitale and Domaine du Centenaire, the newer asphalt driveways call for our delivery crew's tip — four flattened cardboard boxes or a thin sheet of plywood at the drop spot, on top of the PROTEC-O-SOL planks.

Retail in Belœil runs along two kilometres of boulevard: according to the urban plan (studies from 2005-2011), boulevard Sir-Wilfrid-Laurier holds 70% of the city's commercial floor space, more than half of it inside the Mail Montenach. On the industrial side, a 41-hectare zone lines the north edge of Highway 20, served by exits 109 and 112. For contractors, the clinching argument is written into the by-laws: any construction or demolition project must have a dumpster on site (by-law 1669-00-2011, s. 64), and every construction permit requires one of at least 8 cubic metres for the duration of the work (by-law 1670-00-2011, s. 22). Our 20 and 40-yard rotations answer both articles, right down rue de l'Industrie, a sector covered by the PIIA.

Three municipal rules steer the placement from December through March. Overnight street parking is banned on every public road from 2 a.m. to 7 a.m., December 1 to March 31 — the rule targets vehicles, but it sets the tone: plows clear the roadway curb to curb. The general by-law also forbids leaving anything on public property that interferes with snow removal, and forbids pushing or piling snow within 1.5 metres of a fire hydrant. Finally, the temporary car shelter — which zoning permits from October 15 through April 15 for single-family and two-family homes, 1.5 metres back from the sidewalk or curb — competes with the dumpster for the driveway: plan the two together, over the phone.
Belœil by-laws 1653-00-2011 (s. 5.1.1), 1775-00-2020 (s. 90) and zoning 1667-00-2011 (s. 244 to 250), verified August 16, 2026.
Belœil's ecocentre on rue Dupré is closed. Residents now drive to the MRC de La Vallée-du-Richelieu's regional ecocentre, at 60 rue Fisher in Mont-Saint-Hilaire — enter via chemin Benoît, as chemin Rouillard offers no access. Belœil is one of the ten participating municipalities. Perfect for clearing out a garage; here are its limits, official figures in hand — and where a bin rental picks up the slack.
| The rule | What it means for a job site |
|---|---|
| 12 m³ / year | Free quota for construction materials, bulky items and granular loads; beyond that, $2.50 per 0.1 m³, plus taxes |
| Car or pickup | Non-dumping trailer only, combined length under 7.5 m — dump trailers are turned away |
| 3 days in winter | November 1 to March 31: Friday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; in summer, closed Tuesday and Wednesday |
| Residents only | Photo proof of residence required; contractors, lettered trucks and commercially sourced materials are refused |
At the curb, nothing rescues a job site: garbage collection (360-litre bin at most) bans construction debris and dry materials, and bulky-item pickup — by reservation before Friday noon — refuses wood, drywall, ceramics, concrete, brick and shingles. For renovation debris in Belœil, a dumpster rental remains the only door that opens all the way.
