Dumpster rental — or bin rental, as many Montrealers call it — for the big cleanout, an estate, a renovation or a demolition: dry materials, soil, concrete, bricks, asphalt and more.
14' long × 8' wide × 2.5' high · 3 to 4 pickup-truck loads
A 20-yard filled halfway: same footprint, just lower — choosing it won't free up space in a short driveway.

Libération Express
Every rental includes 7 days — 15 for contractors. But if you work fast, our quick-release promotion rewards you:
More than 48 hours after delivery, the promotion no longer applies — your 7-day rental simply continues, without the credit.
Freeing up dumpsters sooner is also what lets us deliver faster everywhere in Chambly — everyone wins.
Offer valid during the high season (March to October).
A full dumpster is heavy, and drop-off and pickup are when asphalt gets marked. Every Megabac dumpster arrives clean, safe and fitted with the exclusive PROTEC-O-SOL system: built-in planks that spread the load and protect your asphalt, concrete or paved driveway. Nothing to supply, nothing extra to pay.
Even with the planks, the dumpster is still a steel box. Before the truck arrives, lay down four flattened cardboard boxes — or a thin sheet of plywood — where the dumpster will sit: the steel never touches your asphalt or your pavers directly. Two minutes of prep, zero worries.
The price depends on the size, the type of materials, how long you keep it — and your area. The form above or a two-minute call is all it takes to get your exact price, fast. What makes up the price, in plain words → And if you free up the dumpster within 48 hours of delivery, the Libération Express credit applies — details below.
Size is not the whole story: dumpsters are rented by material type. Each type goes to a different disposal facility — that is why mixed loads bring extra fees. One choice to make, five options:

10, 20 and 40 cubic yards
The do-it-all dumpster: wood, drywall, metal, shingles, furniture — mixed, no problem.

20 yard — the only size offered
Excavation, grading, sod removal — soil, rocks and sod, nothing else.

20 yard — the only size offered
Walkways, slabs, foundations — broken concrete, nothing else.

20 yard — the only size offered
Walls, chimneys, masonry facing — bricks and mortar, nothing else.

20 yard — the only size offered
Old torn-up paving, curb pieces — asphalt, nothing else.
Why it matters. A dumpster rented for concrete that shows up at the disposal facility with wood in it is refused at the concrete rate: the sorting gets billed back. If you have several types of materials, say so in the form or at 514 708-2424 — we point you to the right type, or to two dumpsters when that costs less than sorting fees.
Tires
Paint, solvents, oils
Propane, aerosols, acidsNo, not in your private driveway: no Chambly by-law calls for one, provided the dumpster rests entirely on your own land. On the street, the city sets out neither a permit nor a fee either, but chapter 5 of construction by-law 2017-1356 imposes its conditions — one third of the street width at most, 7 days, lights at night. A call to urban planning (450 658-0537) will confirm your case.
Seven consecutive days at most: that is the limit set by section 27 of construction by-law 2017-1356, and it applies only to landscaping or construction work. In a private driveway there is no time limit — which is why we almost always steer people to private property in Chambly.
Yes, and that is unusual: section 24 of construction by-law 2017-1356 requires anyone undertaking construction work to install a dumpster on the site itself from the start of the job, to hold the debris, and to replace it as soon as it is 90% full. Our scheduled rotations exist for exactly that.
Yes, at 2400, boulevard Industriel (450 658-2626), open Fridays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., April through November only. Chambly does not take part in the MRC's regional ecocentre in Mont-Saint-Hilaire. Residents are entitled to 12 free 70-litre visits and 2 “trailer” visits of 2.3 m³ a year, then $25 per visit; only one visit per day is allowed.
Rarely. The full free annual quota — 12 loads of 70 litres plus 2 trailers of 2.3 m³ — works out to about 5.4 m³, roughly 7 cubic yards: less than a single 10-yard dumpster. That calculation is built from the figures the city publishes. Add the one-visit-a-day limit, the two opening days a week and the winter closure, and the math settles itself.
In the driveway, without hesitation. From November 15 to April 15, every snow-removal operation empties the streets from 2 a.m. to 7 a.m. and the roadway is cleared across its full width; notices go out before 6 p.m. at 450 658-4567. Keep the car shelter in mind too: its permitted season, October 15 through April 15, covers nearly the whole winter, and it often takes the very spot the dumpster was aimed at. One call before delivery sorts out the puzzle.
Dry materials mix with one another — wood, drywall, shingles, metal, furniture — in the 10, 20 and 40-yard dumpsters. The four other families take a single material each: soil-rocks-sod, concrete, bricks and mortar, asphalt. Adding anything else brings sorting fees. Excluded everywhere: tires, plus paint, solvents, oils, propane, aerosols and acids.
And elsewhere? We checked the permit rule in every city we serve, by-law in hand — because it is never the same from one city to the next.

Dumpster arrived on time and our advisor had correctly judged the size we needed from the description of our work. We were easily able to extend the rental period.— LP Pelletier, Google review, Chambly listing (translated from French)
Excellent service. Jonathan (the owner) was very accommodating, flexible and reachable at practically any time. The drop-off went smoothly and with every necessary precaution. I highly recommend them.— Dominic Mailhot, Google review, Chambly listing (translated from French)
We deliver to every neighbourhood in Chambly — and we know the area.
Chambly passed 31,444 residents at the 2021 census, up 8.0% over five years, with 12,405 occupied private dwellings across 25.08 km² (Statistics Canada). The urban plan, which draws on the 2011 census, counted 9,805 dwellings there, close to 59% of them detached single-family homes — and not one residential building of five storeys or more. Two delivery realities follow from that. North of boulevard De Périgny, Vieux-Chambly and avenue Bourgogne line up tight lots where the 10-yard rule of thumb is worth its weight: the same footprint on the ground as a 20, with less height. To the south, in the rings built after 1991 — more than 41% of the housing stock — and in the TOD district around the terminus, driveways are recent and asphalted: that is where the PROTEC-O-SOL planks and our drivers' tip (four flattened cardboard boxes or a thin sheet of plywood where the dumpster lands) earn their keep.

Chambly's industrial park has run in a straight line along boulevard Industriel since 1965, from boulevard De Périgny toward Highway 10. In 2015, the urban plan counted 77 businesses and close to 2,000 jobs there, with Les Aliments Cargill as the leading employer — some 500 people. One quirk to plan around: the sector has no exit of its own off Highway 10, and the single access runs alongside the highway on rue Patrick-Farrar for 2.5 kilometres. Our 40-yard rotations are built around that constraint. And one local obligation changes the picture for any contractor: in Chambly, the job-site dumpster is not optional (see the permit section).

From November 15 to April 15, overnight street parking stays allowed in Chambly — except during a snow-removal operation, when every vehicle has to be off the streets between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. Operation notices go out before 6 p.m. (Info-déneigement: 450 658-4567). The rule targets vehicles, not dumpsters, but it says what matters: from November to April the street is cleared across its full width, so the dumpster gets planned for the driveway. There is competition to expect: between October 15 and April 15 the temporary car shelter is allowed, set back at least 2 m from the curb, and it often takes the only usable spot. Another seasonal marker: the municipal ecocentre closes from December to March.

For clearing out a garage, the boulevard Industriel ecocentre is the right answer. Here is where it stops.
| The rule | What it means for a job site |
|---|---|
| Friday and Saturday | 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., April through November only — last admission 15 minutes before closing |
| 12 × 70 litres | Plus 2 “trailer” visits of 2.3 m³: the full free annual quota comes to about 5.4 m³, or 7 cubic yards — less than a single 10-yard dumpster |
| 1 visit per day | Emptying the equivalent of a 10-yard dumpster takes more than three round trips, one a day, two days a week |
| $25 / $50 | $25 per visit beyond the quota for a resident; $50 per visit for a non-resident |
At the curb, bulky-item collection comes by only once every two months, capped at 4.6 m³ per address, and turns away every kind of construction, renovation and demolition debris — wood, concrete, doors, cabinets, flooring, bathtub, sink. The Wednesday garbage, picked up every two weeks, turns them away too. Between the two, a bin rental is the only continuous route left for a job site.
