Dumpster rental — or bin rental, as many Montrealers call it — for the big cleanout, an estate, a renovation or a demolition: dry materials, soil, concrete, bricks, asphalt and more.
14' long × 8' wide × 2.5' high · 3 to 4 pickup-truck loads
A 20-yard filled halfway: same footprint, just lower — choosing it won't free up space in a short driveway.

Libération Express
Every rental includes 7 days — 15 for contractors. But if you work fast, our quick-release promotion rewards you:
More than 48 hours after delivery, the promotion no longer applies — your 7-day rental simply continues, without the credit.
Freeing up dumpsters sooner is also what lets us deliver faster everywhere in Châteauguay — everyone wins.
Offer valid during the high season (March to October).
A full dumpster is heavy, and drop-off and pickup are when asphalt gets marked. Every Megabac dumpster arrives clean, safe and fitted with the exclusive PROTEC-O-SOL system: built-in planks that spread the load and protect your asphalt, concrete or paved driveway. Nothing to supply, nothing extra to pay.
Even with the planks, the dumpster is still a steel box. Before the truck arrives, lay down four flattened cardboard boxes — or a thin sheet of plywood — where the dumpster will sit: the steel never touches your asphalt or your pavers directly. Two minutes of prep, zero worries.
The price depends on the size, the type of materials, how long you keep it — and your area. The form above or a two-minute call is all it takes to get your exact price, fast. What makes up the price, in plain words → And if you free up the dumpster within 48 hours of delivery, the Libération Express credit applies — details below.
Size is not the whole story: dumpsters are rented by material type. Each type goes to a different disposal facility — that is why mixed loads bring extra fees. One choice to make, five options:

10, 20 and 40 cubic yards
The do-it-all dumpster: wood, drywall, metal, shingles, furniture — mixed, no problem.

20 yard — the only size offered
Excavation, grading, sod removal — soil, rocks and sod, nothing else.

20 yard — the only size offered
Walkways, slabs, foundations — broken concrete, nothing else.

20 yard — the only size offered
Walls, chimneys, masonry facing — bricks and mortar, nothing else.

20 yard — the only size offered
Old torn-up paving, curb pieces — asphalt, nothing else.
Why it matters. A dumpster rented for concrete that shows up at the disposal facility with wood in it is refused at the concrete rate: the sorting gets billed back. If you have several types of materials, say so in the form or at 514 708-2424 — we point you to the right type, or to two dumpsters when that costs less than sorting fees.

Propane, aerosols, acidsNo certificate is needed: the list of works subject to authorization in by-law Z-3400 (art. 4.2) does not mention a temporary dumpster, which the by-law classes as accessory equipment, in the same family as a heat pump. If your situation raises a doubt, the city's permits office (450 698-3000) will confirm — and so will we, when you book.
About $20 per day under the 2026 schedule for occupying the public right-of-way (paved surface under 49 m²), plus a refundable $200 deposit. A non-resident applicant pays double. The permits office confirms the exact figure when you apply — and if the dumpster fits in your driveway, none of this concerns you.
For a big garage cleanout, yes; for a renovation project, no. The city caps each visit at 3 m³ per address — less than half a 10-yard dumpster — with a ceiling of 15 m³ per year, and charges $80 plus tax from the sixth visit on. The service is for residents only and turns away materials of commercial origin: in practice, a contractor cannot use it.
Never: collection by-law G-074-23 (art. 2.11) excludes construction, renovation and demolition materials and debris from household garbage — rubble, plaster, soil, stone, brick, concrete and asphalt among them. Since January 2024, bulky items go out only once a month — and that pickup, too, refuses construction and renovation residue in so many words.
Not as part of a job: the general penal by-law (G-2000, art. 1.8) prohibits construction, renovation and demolition work all day on Sunday, and from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday through Saturday. The local work window is therefore Monday to Saturday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. — plan the loading accordingly.
The 20-yard handles most renovations: it is about the size of a Dodge Caravan, so a driveway that holds the van holds the dumpster. The 10-yard is a 20 filled halfway — the same footprint, just lower: convenient for loading over the side, but it frees up no room in a short driveway. For a demolition or a major cleanout, go with the 40-yard.
You get $50 back on your credit card if the dumpster is freed up within 48 hours of its delivery — not of the pickup request. The credit is applied against any extras, or refunded in full if there are none. After 48 hours, nothing else changes: the 7-day rental simply keeps running. Offer valid during high season (March to October).
And elsewhere? We checked the permit rule in every city we serve, by-law in hand — because it is never the same from one city to the next.

“Great customer service. I had just moved in and the previous owners had left all their belongings behind. One phone call: they gave me advice, and the next morning the bin was delivered. I highly recommend them.”— Lucie Martin, Google review, Châteauguay listing (translated from French)
“Excellent experience from start to finish. Fast, professional and very efficient service. I highly recommend them.”— Nathalie Lauzon, Google review, Châteauguay listing (translated from French)
We deliver to every neighbourhood in Châteauguay — and we know the area.
Châteauguay counts 12,585 detached single-family homes among its 19,915 occupied dwellings — 63% of the housing stock — so the typical delivery lands in a private driveway, steps from the street. The urban plan adds that more than 60% of the homes date from before the 1980s; at that age, the roof, the kitchen and the basement often get redone within the same decade. The Châteauguay River splits the city into two banks, linked by the Saint-Jean-Baptiste and Saint-Joseph boulevard overpasses and by the Rue Principale bridge: our trucks serve both sides without distinction.

Two arteries carry the local economy: 170 businesses on Boulevard D'Anjou and 151 on Boulevard Saint-Jean-Baptiste — together, 23% of the commercial offering of the entire MRC de Roussillon. The industrial park stretches along both sides of Highway 30 with close to 200 businesses and 2.4 million sq. ft. of land still to be developed, including the Châteauguay 30 ecopark: 438,643 sq. ft. delivered in summer 2025, $95 million invested, LEED Gold certification targeted. On those job sites, our 40-yard dumpsters run on planned rotations, and the single-material dumpsters sort concrete, brick and asphalt right at the source.

Overnight street parking is off-limits from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., December 1 through April 1; the city sometimes lifts the ban, one day at a time, through a notice posted from 5 p.m. — and only on the even-numbered side of the street. On streets 6.5 metres wide or less, those exemptions never apply, so emergency vehicles can always get through. Those signs speak to drivers, not dumpsters, yet the message is plain: all winter long, the plow must be able to scrape the pavement from one curb to the other. So we plan the spot in your private driveway with you, before the delivery.

Free for residents with proof of residency, it handles small loads well — but the city has put numbers on its limits, and a renovation project reaches them fast. Past that point, a bin rental carries the load.
| The rule | What it means for a job site |
|---|---|
| 3 m³ / visit | Per address — less than half a 10-yard dumpster (7.6 m³) |
| 15 m³ / year | The annual ceiling, used up in no fewer than five round trips |
| $80 + tax | Charged from the sixth visit on, even if the 15 m³ are not reached |
| Residents only | Materials of commercial origin are turned away — in practice, a contractor has no way in |
And none of it can go to the curb instead: the municipal by-law excludes construction debris, rubble, plaster, soil, stone, brick, concrete and asphalt from household garbage, and the monthly bulky-item pickup expressly refuses renovation residue, wood and gypsum included.
