Dumpster rental — or bin rental, as many Montrealers call it — for the big cleanout, an estate, a renovation or a demolition: dry materials, soil, concrete, bricks, asphalt and more.
14' long × 8' wide × 2.5' high · 3 to 4 pickup-truck loads
A 20-yard filled halfway: same footprint, just lower — choosing it won't free up space in a short driveway.

Libération Express
Every rental includes 7 days — 15 for contractors. But if you work fast, our quick-release promotion rewards you:
More than 48 hours after delivery, the promotion no longer applies — your 7-day rental simply continues, without the credit.
Freeing up dumpsters sooner is also what lets us deliver faster everywhere in Candiac — everyone wins.
Offer valid during the high season (March to October).
A full dumpster is heavy, and drop-off and pickup are when asphalt gets marked. Every Megabac dumpster arrives clean, safe and fitted with the exclusive PROTEC-O-SOL system: built-in planks that spread the load and protect your asphalt, concrete or paved driveway. Nothing to supply, nothing extra to pay.
Even with the planks, the dumpster is still a steel box. Before the truck arrives, lay down four flattened cardboard boxes — or a thin sheet of plywood — where the dumpster will sit: the steel never touches your asphalt or your pavers directly. Two minutes of prep, zero worries.
The price depends on the size, the type of materials, how long you keep it — and your area. The form above or a two-minute call is all it takes to get your exact price, fast. What makes up the price, in plain words → And if you free up the dumpster within 48 hours of delivery, the Libération Express credit applies — details below.
Size is not the whole story: dumpsters are rented by material type. Each type goes to a different disposal facility — that is why mixed loads bring extra fees. One choice to make, five options:

10, 20 and 40 cubic yards
The do-it-all dumpster: wood, drywall, metal, shingles, furniture — mixed, no problem.

20 yard — the only size offered
Excavation, grading, sod removal — soil, rocks and sod, nothing else.

20 yard — the only size offered
Walkways, slabs, foundations — broken concrete, nothing else.

20 yard — the only size offered
Walls, chimneys, masonry facing — bricks and mortar, nothing else.

20 yard — the only size offered
Old torn-up paving, curb pieces — asphalt, nothing else.
Why it matters. A dumpster rented for concrete that shows up at the disposal facility with wood in it is refused at the concrete rate: the sorting gets billed back. If you have several types of materials, say so in the form or at 514 708-2424 — we point you to the right type, or to two dumpsters when that costs less than sorting fees.

Propane, aerosols, acidsNot on your own lot: table 4-1 of by-law 5005 lists the waste dumpster under the “none” certificate column. On the street it is the opposite — a public-domain occupancy authorization is mandatory, $50 plus a daily fee, issued at the City's discretion. When in doubt, the urban planning department answers at 450 444-6050.
Yes. Anyone who obtains a building permit — residential, commercial, public or industrial, additions included — must install on the site a dumpster with sufficient capacity for all the waste from the work (by-law 5001, s. 11 7°), and the construction by-law requires it to be metal (by-law 5003, s. 100). Ours are.
To the La Prairie ecocentre at 1100 chemin Saint-José: an agreement has given Candiac residents access since January 3, 2026. Its limits are real — five free visits per year per address, paid drop-offs capped at 5 m³, contractors and merchants not admitted. For a job site, the dumpster remains the only continuous route.
Not once real work starts. The wheeled cart is the only receptacle garbage collection accepts and its volume is the hard limit; the construction-materials collection runs once a year — September 8 in 2026 — capped at 4 m³ and reserved for the residential sector; outside that date, a Public Works pickup costs $300 for at most 6 cubic yards.
Thirty minutes at most, parked parallel to the roadway, with uninterrupted unloading: that is the rule in section 35 of by-law 1008-00 for any delivery in Candiac. Hence our single request — a clear spot when we arrive. The drop-off itself takes only a few minutes.
The 20-yard, most of the time: it is about the size of a Dodge Caravan. The 10-yard is a 20 filled halfway — same footprint, lower — an asset under the mature trees of the original sectors, but it clears no extra room in a short driveway. If you hesitate, describe your project at 514 708-2424.
By freeing up the dumpster inside the 48 hours that follow delivery: the $50 credit is then returned to your credit card — deducted from any extras, or refunded in full if there are none. Past that window, the 7-day rental simply continues. Offer valid during high season (March to October).
And elsewhere? We checked the permit rule in every city we serve, by-law in hand — because it is never the same from one city to the next.

We deliver to every neighbourhood in Candiac — and we know the area.
Candiac is a planned city right down to its street names: each neighbourhood carries the first letter of its streets — the original “A”, “B”, “G” and “H” sectors, the “D” and “T” sectors, the “S” sector by the train station. At the 2021 census the city counted 22,997 residents (up 9.3% in five years), and 4,945 of its 8,735 dwellings — 56.6% — were single-family homes: here, the dumpster in a private driveway is the normal case. In the original sectors, where the urban plan describes a mature, well-established urban forest, branches must leave 4.5 m of clearance above the roadway — a figure our drivers check before raising the hydraulic arm, and one that often tips the choice toward the 10-yard, lower than the 20 for the same footprint. In Square Candiac, built on the former Consumers Glass site around Place de la Fonderie, the driveways are brand new: the PROTEC-O-SOL planks, plus four flattened cardboard boxes at the drop point — our delivery crews' tip — spare the fresh asphalt.
Statistics Canada, 2021 census; Candiac urban plan (by-law 4999); by-law 1010-01, s. 8.4.1 — verified August 14, 2026.
The urban plan describes two industrial parks: Montcalm, north and east of Route 132 — 119 hectares, 84% occupied, some twenty businesses, about 1,800 jobs — and Champlain, to the southwest at the junction of Highway 15 and Route 132, with 28 businesses on 79 hectares. Highways 15, 30 and 930 and Route 132 are classed by the MTQ as transit routes where trucking is unrestricted: our 40-yard rotations run them without detours. On the large residential side, the City puts the Gare TOD at 4,814 units at build-out, 975 of them built or under construction. And one clause changes everything for a contractor: in Candiac, the holder of a building permit must install a dumpster on the site — see the permit section.

From December 1 to April 1, overnight parking is banned on Candiac's public roads between midnight and 7 a.m. — outside weekends and the holiday period — and every snow-removal operation, announced by 5 p.m. the day before on candiac.ca and on the Info-neige line (450 444-6066), suspends those exceptions. The rule is aimed at road vehicles, not dumpsters — but its point stands: from December to April the street gets cleared over its full width, so the spot gets planned in the driveway. The City recommends as much itself, asking residents to place carts and bulky items in their own parking area rather than on the sidewalk, the street or the bike path. Two sectors sit outside the overnight regime: Place de la Fonderie and the Gare TOD.

Candiac's ecocentre closed for good on December 20, 2025. The City freed the site for the extension of Joubert Avenue and the construction of a new elementary school. Since January 3, 2026, an agreement between the two cities sends Candiac residents to the La Prairie ecocentre — with limits that quickly tip a job site toward a bin rental.
| The rule | What it means for a job site |
|---|---|
| 1100 chemin Saint-José | The replacement site is in La Prairie — photo ID and proof of residence required |
| 5 visits / year | Free, per residential address; after that, $22 to $49 per drop-off depending on volume |
| 5 m³ ceiling | The most a paid drop-off can take — about 6.5 cubic yards, less than one 10-yard dumpster holds |
| Contractors | Not admitted: only household materials are accepted, and merchants are excluded too |
At the curb, the wheeled cart is the only receptacle garbage collection accepts and its volume is the hard limit; the annual construction-materials collection — September 8 in 2026 — caps at 4 m³ and is reserved for the residential sector; outside that date, a municipal pickup costs $300 for at most 6 cubic yards.
