Dumpster rental — or bin rental, as many Montrealers call it — for the big cleanout, an estate, a renovation or a demolition: dry materials, soil, concrete, bricks, asphalt and more.
14' long × 8' wide × 2.5' high · 3 to 4 pickup-truck loads
A 20-yard filled halfway: same footprint, just lower — choosing it won't free up space in a short driveway.

Libération Express
Every rental includes 7 days — 15 for contractors. But if you work fast, our quick-release promotion rewards you:
More than 48 hours after delivery, the promotion no longer applies — your 7-day rental simply continues, without the credit.
Freeing up dumpsters sooner is also what lets us deliver faster everywhere in Delson — everyone wins.
Offer valid during the high season (March to October).
A full dumpster is heavy, and drop-off and pickup are when asphalt gets marked. Every Megabac dumpster arrives clean, safe and fitted with the exclusive PROTEC-O-SOL system: built-in planks that spread the load and protect your asphalt, concrete or paved driveway. Nothing to supply, nothing extra to pay.
Even with the planks, the dumpster is still a steel box. Before the truck arrives, lay down four flattened cardboard boxes — or a thin sheet of plywood — where the dumpster will sit: the steel never touches your asphalt or your pavers directly. Two minutes of prep, zero worries.
The price depends on the size, the type of materials, how long you keep it — and your area. The form above or a two-minute call is all it takes to get your exact price, fast. What makes up the price, in plain words → And if you free up the dumpster within 48 hours of delivery, the Libération Express credit applies — details below.
Size is not the whole story: dumpsters are rented by material type. Each type goes to a different disposal facility — that is why mixed loads bring extra fees. One choice to make, five options:

10, 20 and 40 cubic yards
The do-it-all dumpster: wood, drywall, metal, shingles, furniture — mixed, no problem.

20 yard — the only size offered
Excavation, grading, sod removal — soil, rocks and sod, nothing else.

20 yard — the only size offered
Walkways, slabs, foundations — broken concrete, nothing else.

20 yard — the only size offered
Walls, chimneys, masonry facing — bricks and mortar, nothing else.

20 yard — the only size offered
Old torn-up paving, curb pieces — asphalt, nothing else.
Why it matters. A dumpster rented for concrete that shows up at the disposal facility with wood in it is refused at the concrete rate: the sorting gets billed back. If you have several types of materials, say so in the form or at 514 708-2424 — we point you to the right type, or to two dumpsters when that costs less than sorting fees.
Tires
Paint, solvents, oils
Propane, aerosols, acidsNeither a permit nor a certificate: in the official table of by-law 907, the waste dumpster (“conteneur à déchets”) appears in the “none” column. The dumpster must still sit entirely on your own property — the grass strip in front of the house belongs to the street right-of-way, which has to stay clear. If the spot raises any doubt, urban planning answers at 450 632-1050, extension 3315.
The building permit is automatically revoked: article 14 of by-law 907 requires anyone holding a permit — residential, commercial, public or industrial construction, or an extension — to keep a waste dumpster of sufficient capacity on site. Our 10 to 40 cubic yard sizes and our swap-outs cover that obligation from the first day of the job to the last.
Yes, with a certificate of authorization for “use of the street during work,” a copy of which goes to the police department and to public works. The dumpster may take up at most one third of the width of the public road, signage is required, and repairs are billed to the certificate holder. Allow for the posted 45-day processing time — in practice, a private driveway settles the question almost every time.
No. The ecocentre at 25, montée Lasaline is reserved for residents of Saint-Constant, Sainte-Catherine and Saint-Mathieu. Delson has its own Dépôt de matériaux secs instead, at the municipal garage, 61, rue Beauvais, open Tuesdays and Saturdays — residents only, proof of residence in hand.
Rarely: the two free annual visits add up to about 7.2 m³ — some 9.5 cubic yards, not even one 10-yard dumpster's worth (calculated from the municipal figures). Add two opening days a week, visits at $15, $25 or $40 beyond the quota, and the ban on businesses and industries, and a bin rental quickly becomes the direct route.
The 20-yard, for most renovation jobs: figure about the size of a Dodge Caravan. If the driveway is short — common in the central and south neighbourhoods, where most homes predate 1986 — the 10-yard keeps the same footprint on the ground while sitting lower, without freeing up any space. Describe the job at 514 708-2424 and we settle it together.
You get $50 back if the dumpster is freed up within 48 hours of delivery. The credit goes back on your credit card: deducted from any extras, refunded in full if there are none. After 48 hours, the 7-day rental simply carries on, with no penalty. Offer valid during the high season (March to October).

We deliver to every neighbourhood in Delson — and we know the area.
Delson fits 8,802 residents (population decree 1499-2025) into 7.7 km² — the smallest land area of the 11 municipalities in the MRC de Roussillon: no address in town is ever far from our truck. The urban plan marks out three living areas: the north end, close to the Seaway; the central Montée des Bouleaux neighbourhood, with its bungalows and heritage core; and the south end around rue des Roitelets, hemmed in by rail lines but served by the commuter station. About 68% of dwellings are detached single-family homes and more than 60% predate 1986 (census data, 2001-2011): at that age, the roof, the drywall and the ceramic tile all end up leaving the house. In driveways of that era, the useful landmark is the 10-yard dumpster — same footprint as a 20, just lower — and our drivers' tip applies everywhere: lay four flattened cardboard boxes or a thin sheet of plywood under the dumpster's footprint, over the built-in PROTEC-O-SOL planks.
Decree 1499-2025, official MRC map 670 (Government of Quebec, February 2026) and Delson urban plan no. 900, verified August 14, 2026.
The south-east corner of Delson, where Route 132 meets highways 15 and 30, holds a 246-hectare industrial sector — roughly the area of the Technoparc in Saint-Laurent — that provided more than 2,500 jobs in 2017, mostly small and mid-sized firms in wood, services, transport and distribution. Goodfellow, a wood and forest-products distributor, keeps its head office there at 225, rue Goodfellow. One constraint shapes our 40-yard swap-outs: the sector has a single entrance, from Route 132 via chemin Saint-François-Xavier, and rail lines cut it in two. Our drivers plan their runs accordingly — and local regulation makes the dumpster unavoidable on job sites in any case (see the permit section).
Urban plan no. 900, as amended by by-law 900-1 (2017), and Goodfellow inc.'s 2025 annual information form, verified August 14, 2026.
From December 1 to April 1, street parking in Delson is banned from midnight to 7 a.m. whenever a snow-removal operation is declared — the call goes out each day by 5 p.m. at the latest (by-law 731, in force since November 15, 2023). The rule targets vehicles, not dumpsters, but its message is the one that matters: the street must stay clear for the plow, so from December to April the spot gets planned in the private driveway. Factor in the temporary car shelter as well, allowed from October 15 to April 15 up to 2 m from the sidewalk, the curb or the pavement — it often claims the very space the dumpster was aiming for. And snow from your lot cannot be pushed onto public property. One call before delivery, and the spot is settled.
City of Delson by-laws 731 (art. 2 and 3), 901 (art. 296 and 299) and 1010-01 (art. 6.2.1), verified August 14, 2026.
The Dépôt will do for a spring clean-out; here are its limits, backed by the city's own figures.
| The rule | What it means for a job site |
|---|---|
| Tuesday and Saturday | Tuesday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m.; Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon in the low season, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from May 2 to October 24, 2026 |
| 2 free visits / year | One in spring, one in fall, 4 ft × 8 ft × 4 ft each — “the equivalent of a small trailer or pickup truck” |
| $15 to $40 per visit | Beyond the quota: $15 (a car trunk, ≤ 1 m³), $25 (1 to 3 m³), $40 (over 3 m³); cash or Interac only |
| Residents only | Proof of residence required; businesses and industries turned away — and a contractor working at your home must show the permit the city issued to you |
The full free annual quota comes to about 7.2 m³ — roughly 9.5 cubic yards, under the capacity of a single 10-yard dumpster (our calculation, from the municipal figures). The curb is no better: household garbage collection refuses renovation debris (drywall, brick, ceramics, concrete, insulation…), the monthly bulky-item pickup expressly excludes construction material, and nothing may be set out before the Saturday preceding collection.
